How to Convert bootable USB drive to normal Usb drive using a Windows Computer!






      Sometime we convert our USB drive to Bootable one for ease of work or we are forced to use such bootable USB stick for technical limitations. We know how to create bootable USB drive , as there are various methods available. But when we want to revert to the normal condition of the USB drive then we have to know how to revert the USB drive to a normal one. In this article discussed below the revert process of a bootable USB drive to a normal USB drive using a Windows Computer.


Step - 1 : Click on Start / Windows button and in the search bar type 'Run' and press Enter.




Step - 2 : It will open the Run window. In the search bar type 'diskmgmt.msc' and press ok.




It will open the diskmanagement window where all the drive partitions will show.




Step - 3 : Select the Removable Disk which will listed at the bottom and right click on it. There will be a format option, click on it.




Step -4 : Next, a pop-up window will open which contains a warning messege about format. Click on Yes.




Step - 5 : It will open format window where we have to rename the volume lebel, Choose the file system FAT32 from the dropdown menu, choose default from the dropdown menu in the allocation unit size section and click on the check box to activate perform a quick format. then click on Ok button.



Voila! your bootable USB drive is now reverted to a normal USB drive.
