How to Install gparted partition software for disk management in Ubuntu 19.04!!






     Gparted is a patition software which can be used for disk management and drive partition related activities. It is free and can be installed both Windows and Linux operating systems. It is an application software which is very useful for partition related activities in a computer graphically. It is a very helpful application for Ubuntu operating system. It is released under GNU General Public License Version 2.

To use all the features of gparted software the installable computer must have the minimum 256 MB of RAM. It can be installed both 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems.

Here in this article we are going to learn how to install gparted partion software in Ubuntu 19.04 operating system.

In the Ubuntu 19.04 operating system gparted can be installed both the ways via commandline and graphically. To install gparted graphically we have to use Ubuntu Software centre. Here both the ways discussed below. 

Install gparted via Commandline -

To install gparted software via commandline we have to use the Ubuntu Terminal and the process listed below. 

Step - 1 : Open Ubuntu Terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T simultaneously.

Step - 2 : Login as super user 

sudo su

and enter the system password




Step - 2 : Install the gparted partition tool

sudo apt-get install gparted

 


It will ask for use diskspace, press y and press enter




It will complete the installation process.

Install gparted graphically - 


To install gparted software graphically we have to use the Ubuntu Software and the process listed below. 

Step - 1 : Click on Ubuntu Software to launch the application




Step - 2 : After launching the application click on the search bar and in the search bar write gparted. It will search and lists gparted application for installing



  Step - 3 : Click on the install button and start using gparted!
