How to Create Bootable Pendrive in Windows!
Generally we use disks like CD/DVD to boot a new operating system such as Windows or Ubuntu, but sometimes we are forced to perform an installation by using a pen-drive. When we want to install an operating system in a laptop which is a mini laptop then most of the cases we found that there is no DVD drive in which we can insert a disk, it is the time where we have to use a pen-drive for booting and installing the system software. We may also have a desktop computer which has a faulty DVD drive then we have to use a pen-drive to boot. Also sometimes computers refuse to boot from CD/DVD due to some internal errors then we have to use a pen-drive for booting.
Here in this article we are going to learn about creating bootable pen-drive. It can be done easily in Windows operating system. Here, the application software called PowerISO has been used to convert a normal pen-drive to a bootable one.
Process of creating a bootable pen-drive described step by step below.
Step - 1 : Download the ISO file of the desired operating system.
Step - 2 : Download the PowerISO application Software from here and install it in a windows computer.
Step - 3 : Open the PowerISO application from the shortcut or appliaction menu. Then click on Tools.
Step - 4 : Click on Create bootable USB drive.. option.
Step - 5 : It will ask for granting permission to run PowerISO as administrator, Click on Yes to proceed.
Step - 6 : Click on the File browser icon to browse the ISO file of the previous downloaded operating system and choose the ISO file.
In the Destination USB drive section it will automatically selected the USB drive.
Step - 7 : Select USB - HDD from the dropdown menu under the Write method option.
Step - 8 : Next click on start button. It will pop-up a confirmation window, click on OK button.
It will start the conversion process and takes littile time. When the green bar filled up it will show the successful messege. Now close all the windows and use the bootable USB stick.
