How to install Zoom Video Conferencing application on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS...
Video conferencing is a popular method of communication which has the possibilities to arrange meetings while the attendees are in different places. Now in the pandemic situation due to COVID-19, it became very popular and also very useful for the people of different institutions, organizations etc.
Zoom is a very popular video conferencing application. this application comes from an American Communications Technology company, headquartered in San Joe, California. It is available for the Windows, Linux, Mac and Android platforms.
This article discuss about the installation processes of Zoom in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. There are several ways to install it on UBuntu.
Method - 1 : From the Ubuntu Software
Step - 1 : Launch the Ubuntu Software from Application Menu
Step - 2 : Search For zoom-client
It will find zoom application. Click on the search result.
Step - 3 : Click on Install button
It will install the zoom application on Ubuntu!
Method - 2 : DEB installer via Ubuntu Software
Step - 1 : Download the Zoom DEB installer file from the Zoom Download Center here
Select Linux Type = Ubuntu
Select OS Architecture = 64 bit for Ubuntu 20.04
Select Ubuntu Version = 14.04+
Click on Download
Step - 2 : Open via Ubuntu software
To open zoom via ubuntu software, head to the Download folder via file manager.
Then right click on zoom_amd64.deb file and click on Open in Software install
It will open the deb file in Ubuntu Software.
Step - 3 : Click on the Install button
It will install zoom application on Ubuntu!
Method - 3 : Via Terminal
Step - 1 : Download the Zoom DEB installer file from the Zoom Download Center here
Select Linux Type = Ubuntu
Select OS Architecture = 64 bit for Ubuntu 20.04
Select Ubuntu Version = 14.04+
Click on Download
Step - 2 : Launch Terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T)
Step - 3 : Head to the Downloads forlder
sudo su
Enter password
cd Downloads
Step - 4 : Install Zoom
sudo apt install ./zoom_amd64.deb
press y to continue.
It will install zoom application on Ubuntu!
