How to Customized Dock Panel on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)!
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Focal Fossa comes with GNOME desktop environment and it is the default desktop environment. By default, the dock panel location is the left side of the desktop screen. We can rearrange the location of the dock panel to the bottom and right side also from the settings menu. But it will appear with a strip and block entire left side, bottom side or right side.
In this article, we are going to customized the dock panel like the above desktop screenshot. It looks cool and modern. It only takes desktop dock panel area according to the number of applications in the dock panel.
Lets Start the Process -
Open Terminal -
Ctrl + Alt +T (Press at a time)
Enter the Command Below -
sudo apt install dconf-editor
Enter system Password
It will install dconf-editor in the system.
After installation, go to apps tray and search for dconf -
Click and open the application.
Click on the 'I'll be careful' option. Head to the menu called 'Dock Position' through this path below. Simply click one by one options -
Org > gnome > shell > extension > dash-to-dock
Head to the 'Dock-Position' option and select 'Bottom'
Voila! All done. Now enjoy different desktop apearing.
